Okay, it's that time of year. Put in your best of the year votes - they can be in any category you like!
Here's mine:
Track of the year: June Tabor doing 'All Our Trades Are Gone' from her Always boxset.
Favourite album: Eliza Carthy's Rough Music
Most promising artist: Jim Causley
Stepping into the big league: Crucible and the Witches of Elswick
Desperately need to listen to properly to maintain credibility: Spiers & Boden - Songs & Chris Wood - The Lark Descending
Most cross-over appeal: Peatbog Faeries - 'The Anthropologist'

Track of the year: Barry Dransfield 'Grand Conversation On Napoleon' from 'Unruly'
Favourite album: 'Lark Descending' Chris Wood
Best newcomer albums: John Dipper Band & Mawkin EPs
Most promising artist: Jim Causley (both solo and + Lauren McCormick & Emily Portman as Devil's Interval)
Most consistently good but shamefully unrecognised: Mary Humphreys & Anahata (3rd album 'Floating Verses')
Most consistently good but fortunately recognised: John Spiers & Jon Boden ('Tunes' & 'Songs')
Need to get out more to become more recognised: Witches of Elswick, Elle Osborne, Maggie Holland, Chris Foster
Hope for 2006: Tim van Eyken's new band, Jackie Oates, Crucible
Stepping into the big league: Demon Barber Roadshow, On English Ground, Bellowhead
Desperately need to listen to properly to maintain credibility: French, Flemish & Spanish pipe things
Most cross-over appeal: the cast of 'Rubber Folk' probably but you can keep it, Simon Ritchie: 'Squeezebox Schizophrenia'
